Executive Director Lorraine Widmer-Carson

Lorraine-Widmer-CarsonLorraine began as executive director in 2005. Since the beginning, she uses her skills honed as mother of four amazing people, partner in the family business, and observer of Banff – including its nature, its culture, and its context. Her love of ‘pie charts’ and measuring ‘impact’ started with a B.Sc. in Biology and continues as she looks for ‘that which is invisible,’ knowing that ‘that which cannot be measured, may be the most essential.’ Lorraine’s commitment to her work is inspired by the words: “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”
